Deputies serving the City of Cornelius bring Backpacks and Snacks to children

On Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 6:40 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm activation from a bait package at a residence near Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway and Southwest 170th Avenue in Aloha.

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:09 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robbery at Chase Bank at 4732 NW  Bethany Blvd

Early this morning, a man who harmed himself while lodged in the Washington County Jail, died at a local hospital.

A local basketball coach was arrested for sexually abusing a minor. Due to his extensive contact with youth, detectives believe there may be additional victims.

Deputies arrested a Hillsboro man after fleeing from a vehicle crash. A Beaverton K-9 team tracked and located the suspect.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a crash where a motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a bridge railing. The rider did not survive his injuries and his<br />passenger received serious injuries.

A sex offender was arrested after he exposed his penis and touched girls at local Dollar Tree stores in September and October. Detectives believe there could be more victims.

A Beaverton women was arrested for arson after intentionally setting fire to her own condominium. Another occupant was forced to jump from a second story window to escape.

Washington County Deputies serving the<br />City of Cornelius responded to a reported fight on South Beech Street. Deputies investigating the fight learn a knife was used and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was located by deputies and arrested.

Between October 21 and October 25, deputies have responded to at least ten different incidents in which mailboxes were tampered with or broken into and mail was stolen from inside.

On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 9:34 p.m., a Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputy was at the Sheriff’s Office Bethany Precinct when he was approached by a man. The man told the deputy that an unknown person stabbed him in the back while he was sitting outside the Bethany Starbucks.

Washington County Deputies arrested a man who burglarized a home while the resident was present. The man was subdued by the resident until deputies arrived. He was arrested and charged with multiple crimes.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a crash where a semi truck and a bicyclist collided.  The bicyclist did not survive his injuries.

Body of Missing Man Recovered from Bethany Lake Park

A 68-year-old swimmer drowned Sunday afternoon at Henry Hagg Lake in western Washington County. Deputies recovered his body early Monday morning.

Bomb Threat Closes Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Kaiwipaoaehikuonalani Amina on two counts of sexual abuse in the third degree. Mr. Amina is accused of inappropriately touching two former students in January 2017.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies serving the City of Cornelius were assisted by additional Sheriff’s Deputies with a loose 800-pound bull in the city.  One man was injured before the bull could be dispatched.

Deputies located a vehicle suspected of burglarizing Hillsboro businesses overnight. The driver was arrested after leading deputies on a pursuit into Cornelius in a stolen vehicle.
