Deputies arrested two football players from Pacific University after they robbed a man off-campus.

Sheriff’s Deputies have been searching for the person(s) responsible for stealing delivered packages off of porches. Package thefts increase during the holidays as many gifts are shipped and delivered to unattended homes and businesses. Deputies received a break in this case when a citizen reported their bicycle was stolen which led to the theft suspects.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 10:29 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a crash located at 1855 SW Edgewood Court in Beaverton.  Deputies were told a white BMW had crashed into a house at the location. When deputies arrived, they found substantial damage to the home and discovered the driver had fled on foot. 

On Sunday, December 29, 2019, at 1:16 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a house in the 300 block of SW Devonwood Avenue.  An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy called 911 and said they had been at the house when they were both stabbed and were on Highway 26 driving to the hospital.

On April 10, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies received information from the Forest Grove Police Department that two wanted men were headed towards Aloha in a van with firearms and drugs.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by other agencies including the U.S. Marshals captured two wanted fugitives.  One suspect had warrants for bank robbery and the other was wanted for numerous crimes including parole violations.  Both were considered armed and dangerous.

Two women were arrested today after Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle suspected in stealing mail in the community of Aloha.  A stolen gun was also recovered during the incident.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, with the assistance of members of the Washington County Explorer Post, conducted an undercover compliance mission where teenagers attempted to buy alcohol from stores in Washington County.

The woman involved in the confrontation with Sheriff’s Deputies has been identified as Phyllis Ilene Jepsen, 55, from Aloha. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital and her next of kin have been notified.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is releasing a sketch and suspect description from the explosive assault.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies serving the city of Cornelius responded to a disturbance at a residence. Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and the situation escalated rapidly, forcing the deputies to respond with lethal force.

This evening, detectives identified the deceased man as Ruendy Gutierrez, 29, from Hillsboro. Advanced fingerprint analysis was used in the identification process.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man who is accused of driving the Mazda that struck and seriously injured Mr. Weise.

Deputies Find Missing Endangered Man

Robert Hankins was found safe in Hillsboro. He was found by an alert person who saw the information on the Sheriff’s Office Twitter account. He was in good health and returned home.

Mrs. Darlow was found safe at around 11:20 p.m. A citizen recognized her picture from the morning news and called dispatch. She has been reunited with her family. The Sheriff’s Office appreciates help from the media and public in locating Mrs. Darlow.

UPDATE - Deputies Locate Missing Endangered West Slope Man

Tonight, detectives arrested Leo Renea Robles Jr., 35, from Aloha, for assaulting and robbing the clerk at the Dotty’s in Aloha on June 17, 2014. The US Marshals Office assisted the Washington County Violent Crime Detectives identify and track Mr. Robles Jr. to a business in NW Portland. Sheriff’s Detectives took him into custody without incident.

April 22, 2014--Washington County Sheriff’s Office Detectives received information that Steven Zellmer was in Pittsburgh headed to a bus terminal. The Sheriff’s Office relayed the current information to the Pittsburgh Philadelphia Police Department who promptly took Steven into protective custody. Steven was in good physical condition and will be returned to his parents for his continued care.
