Washington County seeks nominations for 18th annual Public Health Awards

National Public Health Week is April 6-12, 2020. Washington County Department of Health and Human Services will honor significant contributions to public health that promote and support a culture of health and well-being in Washington County.

The 18th Annual Public Health Recognition Awards will be presented on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, 12 p.m., at the Washington Street Conference Center, located on the first floor of the parking structure at 102 SW Washington Street in downtown Hillsboro. A reception will follow.

Nominations are now being accepted, with a deadline of Feb. 21. Nominees will have raised awareness of public health issues, developed projects with a lasting impact, influenced systems or policy changes, developed innovative public health programs, or promoted healthy communities and/or making healthy lifestyle choices. Award categories include individual, organization, youth and County employee.
