For two days in late May, Washington County Animal Services Officer Les Ico was followed by KATU news reporter Dan Tilkin and a camera crew to show a day in the life of an animal control officer.
The resulting story aired on KATU's 11 o'clock news on June 10th.
Viewers throughout the metro area saw calls ranging from a stray injured cat, to a dog left alone in a dog park that was somewhat aggressive to other dogs, to a dog that got out of its yard and charged at people.
Animal Services Manager Deborah Wood called the story a "well done piece that shows who we are and what we do."
A video of the story can be seen on KATU's website.
