Public Invited to Washington County’s Annual Memorial Day Ceremony

The public is invited to a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29, from 10-11 a.m., at Washington County’s Veterans Memorial Gateway, located at the corner of NE 34th Avenue and Veterans Drive in Hillsboro.

Washington County invites the public to its Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29, from 10-11 a.m., at the Veterans Memorial Gateway, located at the corner of NE 34th Avenue and Veterans Drive in Hillsboro.

The event will honor our nation’s brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The keynote speaker is Major General Eric Vollmecke, USAF, deputy director for Politic-Military Affairs for Africa.

The ceremony will take place rain or shine, with covered seating available. Attendees may park in TriMet's lot at the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport station. For more information, call Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services at 503-846-3051.
