Public Health Services Moving to New Locations

Please be advised that programs including Environmental Health, Vital Records and WIC are all moving and will be closed to the public on certain days.

Due to construction at Washington County’s Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building in downtown Hillsboro, a few key programs in the Department of Health and Human Services will be moving over the next few weeks.

On July 27, Disease Control and Prevention (DCAP) will temporarily move to the 1890 Building, located at 133 SE Second Street in downtown Hillsboro. DCAP includes public health services related to disease reporting, tuberculosis and school exclusion. Staff will be available at the new location starting July 30. The main phone number for DCAP is 503-846-3594.

On August 7-8, Environmental Health and Vital Records are also temporarily moving to the 1890 Building. There will be no services available on those two days. The offices will reopen at the new location on August 9. These services include food handler cards, food service facility licenses, septic permits, birth and death certificates, and more. Environmental Health’s main phone number is 503-846-8722. Vital Records’ main phone number is 503-846-3538.

Hillsboro Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is permanently moving to the Public Services Annex, located at 254 N. First Avenue in Hillsboro. There will be no appointments or services starting at noon on Thursday, August 16 through August 20. Hillsboro WIC will reopen at its new location on Tuesday, August 21.
