Join The Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter For The Annual Dogs On Parade Event
Washington County-area dog lovers will celebrate their pets at the Hillsboro Tuesday Marketplace “Dogs on Parade” event this Tuesday evening, July 13. The event includes a dog parade, contests, and a chance to meet some dogs up for adoption at the Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter.
The event will be emceed by Charlie Girl of CharlieFM radio. The parade Grand Marshall is Hillsboro Mayor Jerry Willey.CONTESTS:

Every dog that participates will get a prize! Contest winners will earn FABULOUS PRIZES!
Prizes are donated by Frontier Veterinary Hospital (major sponsor), PetUtopia, Nature’s Pet Market – Murrayhill, Schroeder’s Den Daycare and Training for Dogs, and Pup-A-Razzi.
“Dogs on Parade is one of the most fun events of the summer – and it helps our shelter a lot,” says Deborah Wood, manager of Animal Services for Washington County. “It’s one of those great community celebrations that are just joyful.”
All dogs and people are welcome. A donation of $1 or more to the Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter is suggested to participate.
Bring your dog (or come enjoy the dogs). Meet at 6:45 at the Hillsboro Civic Center Plaza. The parade begins at about 7:00 P.M.
