Help inform the Washington County Community Wildfire Protection Plan

Help inform the creation of the community wildfire protection plan by providing feedback on how wildfires affect you.
Blog post

Washington County Emergency Management is working with Bintel Inc and the Oregon State Fire Marshall to update the Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The CWPP is a plan developed by a community in an area at risk from wildfire and helps prepare for and reduce the risk of wildfires.

The CWPP will include information on:

  • fire history, behavior, and probability within Washington County,
  • wildfire mitigation and home ignition zone recommendations,
  • firefighting capabilities,
  • potential evacuation routes, and
  • other wildfire preparedness and response related information.

Participating in this survey(Link is external) will help the planning team better understand the risk perceptions within the community about wildfires, landowner mitigation practices, and support evacuation planning. The survey(Link is external), available until May 31st, takes 5-10 minutes to complete but will have impacts on wildfire preparedness for years to come.
