Ballots for the November 7, 2023, Special Election start getting mailed today. Only registered Washington County voters in the following districts will be voting on measures in the current election:
- City of Cornelius
- Cornelius Rural Fire Protection District
- Gaston Rural Fire Protection District
- Scappoose School District
- West Linn-Wilsonville School District
If you are not registered to vote in one of the districts listed above, you will not receive a ballot in this election.
Check your mailbox for your ballot. If by October 27, 2023, you have not received your ballot, you can request a replacement ballot by using the Ballot Request Form at washcovotes.org or contact the Elections Office at 503-846-5800.
Mailbox or Drop Box, We’re Ready
The voting deadline is 8 p.m. on the day of the election, Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Ballots that are mailed must be postmarked by Election Day. Ballots deposited in an official drop box must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day. As of January 1, 2022, Oregon allows for ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received no later than seven days after an election to be accepted and counted.

We have four dropsite locations available during the current election. The following drop sites will be available after the ballots are mailed on October 18, 2023. They will remain open until 8 p.m. election night.
