County Service Fair in Aloha on Oct. 16

Washington County will conclude a series of eight events this Saturday as part of an impartial public information effort about countywide public safety and library renewal levies on the ballot this November. The eighth and final event will convene at Bales Thriftway at 17675 SW Farmington Road in Aloha on October 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The intention behind the eight county service fairs has been to provide neutral information about Measure 34-179, the Public Safety Levy Renewal, and Measure 34-180, the Library Levy Renewal. Information about the proposed services and costs for property tax payers continues to be part of the outreach effort. By Saturday, two service fairs will have been conducted within each of Washington County's four commissioner districts.

More information about Measure 34-179, the Public Safety Levy Renewal, and Measure 34-180, the Library Levy Renewal, can be found at:

Information regarding Measures 34-179 and 34-180 was reviewed by the Oregon Secretary of State's Elections Division for compliance with state laws restricting the political activities of public employees.
