Erin Calvert named new Deputy County Administrator for Washington County

Washington County is pleased to announce the appointment of Erin M. Calvert as Deputy County Administrator.

Calvert has served at the Washington County Juvenile Department for over 24 years in various positions including juvenile counselor and has managed several different divisions and specialty teams within the Department. For the last twelve years she has been the Juvenile Services Division Manager, responsible for daily operations as well as national, statewide and local projects and partnerships. After participating in a competitive recruitment process for Deputy County Administrator in the fall of 2018, Calvert has been appointed by County Administrator Robert Davis to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Kirby Johnson.

“Erin has a proven track record at the Juvenile Department with her leadership skills in operations and project management, as well as her ability to form strong collaborative partnerships with a wide variety of public safety and justice stakeholders,” said County Administrator Robert Davis. “We’re fortunate to have her join the leadership team in the County Administrative Office.”

Calvert began her career as a residential youth counselor after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology; with a minor in Planning, Public Policy Management, from the University of Oregon. Calvert begins her new assignment as Deputy County Administrator for Washington County on July 1, 2019.
