Marni Kuyl to Lead Health and Human Services Department


Washington County Administrator Robert Davis announced today that Marni Kuyl will lead the county’s Health and Human Services Department. Kuyl had been manager of the department’s Public Health Division since October of 2013. Her career in health care and management spans approximately 30 years and she has held positions in Arizona, Montana and most recently Clark County, Washington.

Kuyl’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Community Health Nursing from Arizona State University in Phoenix.

“Marni is highly regarded by her peers and has strong regional relationships. She is a strategic thinker and comes to the director position with a great deal of passion, commitment and energy,” said Davis. “We welcome Marni as the newest member of our executive management team and look forward to working with her.”

Washington County’s Health and Human Services Department is responsible for public health, mental health, developmental disabilities, aging, veterans, solid waste and recycling, animal services, emergency medical services and children and family services. The department is supported by a budget of $94.6 million and is staffed by 254 full-time equivalent employees.
