County Buildings Open On Time, but Please Travel Safely
All County buildings are opening on time this morning, despite icy conditions in some areas of the region. Employees should contact their supervisors about any curtailments in their work areas.
Facilities and Parks Services reports that the Hillsboro area has little to no ice, so walkways and parking lots are wet but not frozen as of 6 a.m. Temperatures are expected to warm throughout the morning.
Commuters will find a different story depending on their route, given that some areas have frozen rain on roadways and highways. Transit users should check with TriMet.org/alerts before embarking on their commutes.
The public is asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about potential changes to hours of operation. Updates about the status of Washington County Libraries can be found at http://wccls.org/weather Updates about road closures and icy removal from the County road system can be found at http://www.wc-roads.com
