Announcements from your service providers for Sheriff, fire, parks and others. Updates on neighborhood meetings, developments, other ongoing projects (i.e., schools).

Meet Mike Dahlstrom, Washington County Community Engagement Program Manager

Mike will lead a conversation to explore the CPO attendees' aspirations for the larger Community Engagement Program.

Vote on the nominated members for 2017. Additional nominations welcomed and encouraged.

2016-17 ANNUAL LONG RANGE PLANNING WORK PROGRAM
Mary Manseau will lead a conversation about what the Annual Work Program is, what is on the list of proposed projects, and what feedback CPO 7 would like to provide regarding the list.

  • CPO 7 Request for Participation
    At this time, County residents have an opportunity to make project requests for inclusion in the Annual Work Program. The Board of Commissioners will review the list and decide what projects the Department of Land Use & Transportation will address in the 2017 season.
  • Working List of Issues
    Some program tasks are determined by changes in state law, while other items come from suggestions of land developers. Citizens have an opportunity to make requests for inclusion on the work program, too. Below is a working list of issues to be forwarded to the Board for consideration. Come to this meeting with your priorities, ideas and questions! Or, email your comments by 5 p.m. on November 11.
    • ROW and sidewalks, implementation of funding solutions from 2016 Walkway Issue Paper
    • Infill development (issue paper to be released)
    • Tree code in urban areas
    • Code changes eliminating Standing Wall Remodel
    • Pursue grant funding for updates to community plans, original plans drafted in early 1980s
    • Code changes to relax Health Hardship Rules
    • Updates to neighborhood meeting rules, including enlarging the 500 ft. notification area inside the UGB
    • Code changes requiring community gathering spaces for new developments
    • Contact information for responsible party posted on development sites
    • Increased funding for code enforcement
    • Create rules for Air B&B, Vacasa, VRBO or other short-term vacation rentals
    • Split CPO 7 into two geographic areas to ensure all communities within CPO 7 are adequately served: CPO7N to serve areas north of Hwy 26, and CPO 7S to serve areas south of Hwy 26.
