Levy for TSWCD
Presentation by a Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District (TSWCD) volunteer.
- A volunteer will speak briefly about the proposed levy for the District, which works to conserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources in the Tualatin River Watershed. From a statement to CPO 10: "Current funding is patched together from several agencies and short-term grants, and the TSWCD needs to be able to reach the whole county, which is growing rapidly. This levy would provide consistent funding for technical assistance, education, grants and projects that would benefit both rural and urban landowners and residents, and is limited to nine cents per $1,000 property tax rate."
