County buildings open on time, but please travel safely
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for this afternoon with snow predicted after 4 p.m. Also, this morning's commute may be affected by patches of ice on roadways and some snow flurries throughout the region.
County buildings are to open at their usual time Tuesday, February 20, but employees are urged to use caution and allow for extra commuting time, especially this afternoon and again Wednesday morning.
Employees are encouraged to contact their supervisors if there are any questions about service curtailments affecting their work areas. If approved by their supervisors, employees may take paid leave for hours not spent working. More information is available in the County's Inclement Weather Policy and Procedures.
The public is asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about potential changes to hours of operation. Updates about road closures and snow removal from the County road system can be found at www.wc-roads.com
