Washington County's Economic Development Program is now accepting applications from qualified nonprofit organizations for the second round of capacity building grants. A Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) has been released for nonprofit organizations actively servicing the small business community across Washington County.
These grants are intended to support an organization’s capacity building proposals that enhance existing programs or support the development of new programs and services for Washington County businesses and entrepreneurs. For profit businesses, individual consultants/proprietors are ineligible. Visit the application portal to submit your proposal by 5 pm. September 15, 2023.
Key Dates:
- Interested and eligible firms must submit their proposals by 5 p.m. on September 15, 2023.
- A listening session will be held on August 16 at 9:30 a.m.
Funding will prioritize services for communities disproportionately impacted by the negative economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, immigrant and refugee communities and others.
Recipients of the first round include Northwest Native Chamber, Lewis and Clark College Small Business Legal Clinic (SBLC), Business Impact NW, Adelante Mujeres, and Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO). To learn more about these projects, read the 2023 ARPA report.
