Chairman to Deliver State of County Speech for 2018




In his final "State of the County" speech, Washington County Chairman Andy Duyck addressed members and guests of the Westside Economic Alliance at 7:30 a.m. on March 22. The event was held in the Tiger Woods Center at the Nike World Headquarters, One Bowerman Drive, Beaverton.

In his address, Duyck reflected on his 24 years of service on the Washington County Board of Commissioners and the past eight years as Board Chair. His presentation included video interviews of fellow board members and key community leaders, while focusing on Washington County's critical topics of transportation, growth, water supply, affordable housing and the new Event Center planned for the fairgrounds. Finally, Chair Duyck offered his guidance about how the next County Chair and new Board of Commissioners will need to navigate these challenges in the future.
