Board of Commissioners issue Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Proclamation

Today, in honor of National Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 2020 as Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in Washington County. In recognition of this year’s theme, “Unite Our Nation by Empowering Equality,” and the legacy of Asian and Pacific Islanders who continue to serve in significant and enduring ways, the Board encourages all residents of Washington County to reflect on the rich diversity of the Asian and Pacific Islander community and celebrate the many ways they contribute to our nation and our neighborhoods alike.
