Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors were indigenous to North America as well as those who came from Puerto Rico, Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. In Washington County and across Oregon, the cultural, educational, economic and political influences of Hispanics can be seen and appreciated in all aspects of our lives.

This proclamation dedicates September 15 to October 15, 2018 as Hispanic Heritage Month in Washington County and celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanics in our community.
