UPDATE: Members of the Multnomah County and Washington County Boards of Commissioners voted to appoint Elizabeth Steiner Hayward to fill a vacancy in Oregon Senate District 17. The voting outcome is provided in the Statement Regarding Senate District 17 Appointment filed with the Oregon Secretary of State's Office.

The Oregon Secretary of State's Office has set a joint meeting between the Multnomah County and Washington County boards of commissioners to select from three nominees seeking to fill a vacancy in Oregon Senate District 17. The nominees chosen by the Democratic Central committees from the two counties are: Chris Harker, Elizabeth Steiner Hayward and Paul Terdal.
