Washington County is hosting an open house for community members who are interested in learning more about serving on an advisory board or commission. The Board County of Commissioners (BCC) appoints volunteers to more than 30 community boards, commissions, advisory councils and committees.
Boards and commissions play an important role in advising the BCC on service priorities, how to distribute available resources and how to improve collaboration with the greater Washington County community. Those who attend can visit with current members, learn about what they do and what is involved in applying and serving on boards and commissions.
The open house will take place at the Washington Street Conference Center, 102 SW Washington Street in Hillsboro.
